There was great excitement at the Kannada Higher Primary school in Vasant Nagar as famed actor Ajay Rao along with other celebrities such as Uday Mehta, V. Sridhar and Shashank, came together for a day of fun with the children. Mr. Rao performed to some patriotic numbers such as 'Vande Mataram' and 'I Love India', much to the delight of the children.  

This was followed by freshly cooked Akshaya Patra food served to all the children. The menu for the day included all of the children's favourites such as cabbage bath, Mangalore bonda, sweet pongal, raita as well as a sweet.

Mr. Rao, who has long been a staunch supporter of serving mid-day meals to school children, said "One should always step forward for such a cause when it comes to children. Feeding a hungry child is so important. The whole nation should join hands in supporting this cause."
